Problems logging on to PKB

If your logon is not successful there will be diagnostic information displayed in the messages area.

To help you distinguish the different situations, try the following:

• If "Invalid email address or password" is reported: Did you register already ? If not, click here. If you are already registered check that you have given the correct email address and password.
• If "pkb.gradwell.com can not be reached" is reported, check that you can access your favourite search engine and news site. This will confirm that your Internet connection is working.

Problems launching the PKB application from a specific machine for the first time

You need to have the Java Runtime Environment version 1.6 installed to run PKB. If you have the neccessary admin rights on your machine you can install this from java.sun.com. If you do not have the necessary admin rights please ask your IT Department to install the Java Runtime Environment version 1.6 for you.

Problems connecting from a specific machine for the first time

The most common reasons are that your internet connection is down (especially if you have accessed PKB from this machine with the same network connection before).
